The role involves guiding end-to-end recruitment for senior engineering and advanced manufacturing positions, serving as a strategic partner to engineering leadership to align talent strategy with technical requirements and long term product goals.
Responsibilities
- Manage full cycle recruitment for senior and specialized engineering roles across mechanical, electrical, structural, piping, automation, and new product introduction disciplines
- Collaborate with Engineering Directors and functional leaders to define role scope, required technical skills, and success criteria
- Design and implement advanced sourcing strategies using LinkedIn Recruiter, complex Boolean queries, X-ray search techniques, and competitive landscape mapping
- Identify candidates through patents, technical publications, conference materials, and professional engineering associations
- Create multi-quarter talent maps highlighting competitor firms, target profiles, and emerging skill clusters
- Build passive candidate pipelines across fields such as advanced manufacturing, architecture, engineering and construction, industrial automation, and energy systems
- Lead high-level technical screening conversations to assess design experience, systems exposure, and manufacturing alignment
- Partner with compensation and leadership teams to structure complex offer packages including base salary, bonuses, 401(k) match, relocation, and performance incentives
- Provide compensation benchmarking insights for engineering markets in Phoenix, Buffalo, and other major talent hubs
- Lead negotiations for offers with senior engineers and engineering managers
- Develop CRM campaigns and long-term engagement plans for niche engineering talent pools
- Deliver market intelligence reports on competitor hiring trends, pay shifts, and evolving skill demands
- Optimize ATS workflows and recruitment analytics to improve velocity and quality of hire
- Support workforce planning initiatives and long-range engineering hiring strategies
Requirements
- 7+ years of technical recruiting experience focused on engineering and manufacturing roles
- Proven track record recruiting Mechanical, Electrical, Structural, Automation, or Advanced Manufacturing Engineers
- Advanced expertise in LinkedIn Recruiter, Boolean search construction, and talent mapping methodologies
- Experience sourcing through patents, research publications, and technical conferences
- Demonstrated ability to negotiate complex multi-component compensation packages
- Strong understanding of engineering design processes, NPI environments, and manufacturing operations
- Experience recruiting within manufacturing, industrial automation, AEC, or energy sectors
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret labor market data
- Ability to operate independently and influence senior leadership
