Responsibilities
- Collaborate on project teams with I&C engineers to design new power plants, modify existing facilities, and improve plant controls.
- Contribute to power distribution design and prepare specifications for instrumentation and controls equipment and related installation services.
- As part of a multidisciplinary team, participate in plant design coordination, engineering calculations, and electrical control circuit design.
- Travel may be required to client and vendor offices for design reviews or to plant sites for construction coordination and field verification of designs.

Requirements
- BS or MS in Electrical, Mechanical, or Chemical Engineering from an ABET-accredited program, with coursework in analog and digital control systems.
- Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam completed with designation as Engineer in Training.
- 12+ years of relevant power plant and heavy industrial control systems experience.
- Power or industrial controls experience.
- Understanding of practical instrumentation and controls engineering, including applying systems, principles, techniques, and procedures to project design.
- Experience reading and creating logic diagrams and control narratives.
- Knowledge of design techniques for producing technical plans, drawings, and models.
- Proficiency with MS Office applications, especially Excel and Access.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and effective teamwork.
- Strong work habits, resourcefulness, and enthusiastic attitude.
- This position is based in Clayton, MO (hybrid) and may require occasional travel.

Valued but not required skills and experience
- PE License, preferred.
- Experience with DCS, TCS, and/or PLCs programming.
- Experience performing field work such as control system upgrades, commissioning, or start-up.
- Engineering consulting experience and strong client relationships, particularly with Florida clients.

Compensation
Salary range: $118,023 – $180,313 per year.
