Job Description

Experience a collaborative design environment at C&C Power, Inc. on site in Carol Stream, IL. This role focuses on designing, engineering, and supporting UL891 and UL1558 AC switchgear and power distribution systems, with close collaboration across Production, Sales, and Engineering to deliver compliant, high-quality electrical products. The position offers a salary range of $90,000 to $130,000 per year and a benefits package that includes 401(k) with employer match, health and dental insurance, FSA with employer contribution, and paid time off. This onsite role is based in Carol Stream, IL, and requires at least 3 years of relevant experience.

Responsibilities

  • Design and engineer UL891 and UL1558 switchgear architectures and AC power distribution products.
  • Create, update, and maintain production drawings, as-built documentation, and fabrication drawings.
  • Develop and modify 2D and 3D CAD models for switchgear assemblies and related components.
  • Provide engineering support to Production, Sales, and cross-functional teams throughout the manufacturing process.
  • Ensure compliance with NEC, UL, NFPA, IFC, and other applicable electrical codes and standards.
  • Research and implement current technologies, electrical components, and best practices in switchgear manufacturing.
  • Assist with troubleshooting, design improvements, and product optimization.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience designing UL891 and UL1558 switchgear and power systems required.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical power distribution systems, switchgear design, and electrical circuits.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and SolidWorks for engineering drawings and 3D modeling.
  • In-depth knowledge of UL891, UL1558, NEC, NFPA, and applicable electrical standards.
  • Experience creating production, fabrication, and as-built drawings in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong understanding of engineering design techniques, mechanical layouts, and electrical integration.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word and Excel).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate across departments.
