Job Description
Responsibilities
- Deliver products and services to government clients in the directed energy field as part of a cross-disciplinary team.
- Tackle complex technical challenges, craft innovative solutions, develop advanced technology concepts, and guide system development toward a deployable product.
- Apply systems engineering expertise across SDLC components, including concept development, technical planning, requirements development, system analysis, system design, integration, verification, transition, operations, obsolescence, and disposal.
- Participate in program integrated product teams and ensure proper application of systems engineering processes.
- Demonstrate experience with systems engineering for acquisitions, including development of SE plans, system engineering technical reviews (SETRs), system certification processes, and specialty engineering activities.
- Develop skills in rapid acquisitions and fielding systems aboard Navy ships, while growing expertise in directed energy technology and integration.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of experience performing systems engineering for weapons systems.
- At least 2 years using Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) and MBSE tools for architectures, requirements, and interfaces.
- Experience with concept development, design and development of system architecture, hardware, and software components.
- Ability to generate SE requirements for artifacts such as System Requirements Documents (SRDs), Subsystem Requirements Documents (SSRDs), and Interface Control Documents (ICDs).
- Experience with risk management.
- Knowledge of configuration management, program protection or cybersecurity, system safety, and SE certification processes.
- Secret clearance.

Nice to Have
- 5+ years of SE experience with U.S. Navy Surface Ships or directed energy systems
- Experience tracking trouble reports, testing and evaluation of system performance, and documenting test results
- Experience using Cameo for MBSE
- Experience with the Atlassian Tool Suite, including Jira for requirements, Zephyr for test case development, and Confluence for data reporting
- Experience with Navy Surface Ship weapons integration requirements
- Experience with configuration management, program protection or cybersecurity, system safety, and certification
- Knowledge of Modular Open Systems Approach (MOSA) techniques
- Ability to identify and support test and integration activities to verify and validate requirements
- Master’s degree
- Certified Systems Engineering Professional (CSEP) Certification
Clearance
Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; Secret clearance is required.
Compensation
Salary range: USD 61,900 to 141,000 per year. The projected compensation range is $61,900.00 to $141,000.00 (annualized USD).

Work Model
Onsite: Work will primarily occur at a Booz Allen office or customer facility, with direct collaboration required. Hybrid or remote arrangements may involve periodic in-person visits to Booz Allen or customer sites in alignment with leadership expectations and role requirements.
