Booz Allen is seeking an FMS Cybersecurity Engineer to join its San Diego team onsite, contributing to cyber mission work that supports allies and partner capabilities. This role centers on applying RMF and SOC practices to identify weaknesses, consolidate threat intelligence, and develop operations plans that strengthen defensive postures across missions.
Responsibilities
- Assess cyberspace capabilities to identify potential weaknesses and evaluate how effectively mitigations perform for cybersecurity solutions.
- Collaborate with the team to use cyberspace operations systems to aggregate threat feeds for senior leadership briefings aligned to allied and partner capabilities.
- Apply research and analytical skills to inform operators, leaders, and commanders about evolving adversarial tactics, techniques, and procedures for system design and SOC policy.
- Contribute to the development of operations plans that support command and control.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in cybersecurity engineering
- Experience with Risk Management Framework (RMF), Authority to Operate (ATO) processes, and development of related cybersecurity artifacts
- Knowledge of how a security operations center functions and related policies
- Ability to think creatively when policies can be tailored to specific scenarios
- Secret clearance
- Bachelorβs degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Mathematics, or Computer Science
- Information Assurance Management (IAM), Information Assurance Technical (IAT) or Information Assurance System Architect and Engineer (IASAE) Level I Certification

Security clearance
Secret clearance is required. Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
Compensation
The posted salary range for this position is USD 61,900 to USD 141,000 per year. Booz Allen determines compensation based on location, education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements.
