Staff-level software engineering role at Hill AFB focused on designing, developing, testing, and maintaining software to test F-16 OFP COMET avionics ITS in a virtual environment, with US citizenship and security clearance required.
Responsibilities
- Architect software capable of testing OFPs on ITS and in virtual environments.
- Implement code to validate OFPs on ITS and in simulated environments.
- Create documentation for software that tests OFPs on ITS and in virtual environments.
- Execute verification tests on software that exercises OFPs on ITS and in simulations.
- Troubleshoot and debug software used to test OFPs on ITS and in virtual environments.
- Sustain and update the software used for OFP testing on ITS in both physical and virtual setups.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college.
- Experience with at least two of the following:
- Unix/Linux System Services
- C/C++ Software Development
- Object-Oriented Design (OOD)
- Aircraft Weapons Systems knowledge
- Avionics Modeling / Aircraft Weapon Simulation modeling
- Experience with operating systems including Windows, Sun Solaris, Linux or VxWorks (VxSim).
- Current interim Secret security clearance required; ability to obtain a final Secret clearance.
