Based in Berkeley, Missouri and on site at Boeing, this Experienced or Senior Fatigue & Fracture Analysis Engineer role centers on leading fatigue and fracture analysis across aerospace programs, including verification, certification, and test planning. The position also encompasses in-service support and driving process improvements throughout the development lifecycle, with a salary range of USD 103,700 to 171,350 per year.
Responsibilities
- Lead the development, integration, and documentation of structural fatigue and fracture requirements.
- Verify structural integrity by applying and advancing analytical methods, finite element models and simulations, and other analysis tools to define the structural environment, characteristics, and performance across the product lifecycle.
- Develop test plans and configurations, support test execution, and analyze and report results to confirm systems and components meet requirements and specifications.
- Document certification and test results to substantiate compliance for customers and regulatory agencies.
- Support in-service products by guiding investigations into failures and proposing improvements.
- Create analytical processes and tools to enhance the effectiveness, quality, and efficiency of development efforts.
- Plan and execute tasks within schedules constrained by internal and external customers.
- Operate with minimal supervision.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering with a focus on Mechanical, Civil, Aerospace/Aeronautical, or Material Sciences.
- Level 3: five or more years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience.
- At least 3 years of experience with fatigue and damage tolerance analysis.
- Experience writing technical reports.
- Ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance; U.S. Citizenship is required; interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance post-start required.
