BI Developer/ Data Engineer

City Mattress is seeking a technically skilled BI Developer / Data Engineer to join its BI and Data team in Bonita Springs, FL on a hybrid schedule.

Responsibilities

• Build, maintain, and optimize Power BI reports and dashboards for merchandising, operations, finance, and sales teams
• Develop DAX measures and calculated columns to support business KPIs
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements, translate them into report specs, and deliver clean, intuitive visuals
• Maintain and document semantic models in Power BI and Microsoft Fabric
• Troubleshoot broken reports and data refresh issues; communicate status and resolutions to end users
• Support ETL/ELT pipeline development using Fabric Data Factory or Azure Data Factory
• Assist with data ingestion from Storis ERP and other operational systems into Microsoft Fabric / OneLake
• Perform data quality checks and help maintain data integrity across the reporting layer
• Contribute to data model documentation and governance standards in collaboration with the Data Governance Manager
• Support automation workflows (n8n, Power Automate) that feed operational dashboards

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience in a BI, reporting, or data analyst role with hands-on Power BI development
• Strong SQL skills, comfortable writing queries, joins, and basic transformations
• Proven experience building and publishing Power BI reports and dashboards in a production environment
• Familiarity with Microsoft Fabric or Azure data services (self-taught or project-based acceptable)
• Working knowledge of DAX for calculated measures and report logic
• Excellent communication skills, able to translate data into clear takeaways for non-technical stakeholders

Work location

This role follows a hybrid work model of four days in-office and one remote day per week at City Mattress corporate headquarters in Bonita Springs, FL.
