Job Description
A Configuration Management Engineer role based in Savannah, GA, onsite for Can-Tech Services.
Responsibilities
- Contributes to planning, development, and coordination of key engineering initiatives
- Provides specialized technical support to project teams
- Applies advanced methods and adapted theories to craft solutions for complex engineering challenges
- Develops independent approaches to solving problems within schedule and cost targets
- Performs with limited supervision; work is reviewed for accuracy and alignment with objectives
- Acts as a liaison with external representatives beyond the immediate team
- Proactively seeks process improvements and ensures deliverables meet customer requirements
- Maintains up-to-date knowledge of field developments to propose innovations that enhance product quality and effectiveness
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in engineering or related curriculum, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Five (5) years in a specific technical discipline or 10 years of broad engineering experience across multiple disciplines
- Experience credit considerations for related advanced degrees: 2 years for Masters, 4 years for PhD in relevant fields
Position Purpose
Supports planning, coordination, and execution of design, analysis, and liaison engineering to back Gulfstream product development and production.

Unique Skills
- Assist with executive cabin interior engineering design and configuration
- Assist in floorplan studies, feasibility assessments, build list updates, certification strategy, and customer change requests in alignment with Part 25 & 135 certification requirements (including EWIS)
- Assist with the review of design data and translating it into aircraft build lists
- Act as liaison and coordinate with design engineering, certification/configuration management, sales & design, project engineers and operation teams
- Assist in reviewing Certification Plans on Major Design Change MDC projects
- Prefer experience with CATIA V5 with SmarTeam/Teamcenter
- First Shift

- Advanced degree in engineering related field preferred
- The level of technical skill and abilities appropriate for this grade will be established by each discipline
