Cybersecurity Engineer - Program Protection
Job Description
This full-time Cybersecurity Engineer role supports Lockheed Martin's THAAD program in Huntsville, Alabama, with a focus on implementing cybersecurity across the lifecycle and collaborating with engineering teams.
Responsibilities
- Implement cybersecurity on tactical products and systems.
- Collaborate with systems engineering, software engineering, and product teams to enable secure system design across the system development lifecycle.
- Apply an interdisciplinary, collaborative approach to support planning, design, development, validation, and verification of cybersecurity solutions across the lifecycle.
- Act as the cybersecurity representative to non-cyber teams to support requirements gathering, collaborative engagement, and identification and implementation of solutions.
- Assist in developing cybersecurity plans and procedures.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a STEM field or an equivalent combination of education, training, and related technical experience.
- DoD 8140 IAT Level II or higher certification (for example Security+, GSEC) or the ability to obtain within 30 days of hire.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to apply a systems-thinking approach to cybersecurity challenges.
- Solid understanding of cybersecurity fundamentals.
- Fundamental understanding of information technology concepts.
- U.S. citizen required; position requires a government security clearance.

Work Schedules
Lockheed Martin offers a variety of alternate work schedules to provide flexibility. Schedules range from a standard 40 hours over five days to condensed options, in addition to paid time off benefits.
