Job Description
The Electronics Engineer (Industrial Controls) role at the Defense Logistics Agency is an on site engineering position in New Cumberland, Pennsylvania, focused on supporting industrial control systems through targeted project involvement, technical review, and cross-agency collaboration. The role carries a salary range of USD 57,736 - 133,142 per year and requires a Bachelor’s Degree in Professional Engineering (ABET-accredited or equivalent) with at least one year of related experience.
Responsibilities
- Provide engineering support and assistance to journeyman engineers on specific portions of broader projects.
- Conduct research, offer recommendations, and develop an assigned segment of a project.
- Communicate with personnel by phone to obtain information, discuss issues, gain concurrence, and may initiate correspondence requesting additional information or documentation about equipment usage.
- Review part data such as drawings and schematics to identify usage trends for newly selected components and propose standardization initiatives based on findings.
- Remain aware of technological developments and become familiar with programs, projects, and functions of the organization, as well as relevant engineering manuals and procedures.
- Attend joint military-industry and inter-agency specification and standardization meetings as an observer to understand procedures and information exchange.
- Assist technical spokespersons at meetings as needed and may present orally on assigned project portions.
