Job Description

The Senior Cybersecurity Engineer supports large-scale migration and ongoing operations on a DoD contract, delivering security engineering expertise across projects and coordinating with program teams and clients.

Fort Belvoir, VA (onsite)

Salary

USD 131,300 - 237,350 per yearly

Responsibilities

Lead DoD and Intelligence Community cybersecurity activities for systems connected to NIPRNet, SIPRNet, and JWICS.
Implement automated vulnerability testing and risk management controls within DevSecOps delivery methodologies.
Manage endpoint security solutions and reporting to CMRS.
Drive risk management efforts to obtain and maintain authorization for systems using DoD and IC RMF tools such as eMASS and Xacta.
Direct vulnerability management and reporting activities in response to DoD cybersecurity directives, orders, and alerts, leveraging outputs from automated tools.
Deliver executive-level technical briefings and presentations to senior Government personnel.

Requirements

Active TS/SCI security clearance
MS degree and 15+ years of related experience. Relevant experience may be substituted for education.
Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)
8+ years hands-on experience designing or implementing security solutions, including all related documentation and artifacts
Analytical ability, problem-solving skills, and the capacity to break down complex problems into actionable steps
Extensive experience in design and development of enterprise security architectures
Experience creating diagrams and documentation detailing all IT system components, including network topology
Strong knowledge of secure enterprise architecture design, with focus on C2C, IAM, NDR, EDR, SIEM, AI/ML, and related cybersecurity tools
Proven ability to select effective methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria to achieve outcomes
Understanding of federal cybersecurity guidance such as FISMA NIST SP 800-37 and NIST 800-137 ISCM
Experience developing architectures, strategies, roadmaps, and technical standards for the federal IT enterprise environment

Responsibilities

Provide energy management support to the ERM Program Manager for policy and reporting requirements across DLA sites.
Monitor compliance with DoD initiatives, strategies, goals, mission and vision statements, Executive Orders, and federal statutes.
Maintain an enterprise-wide energy project database, including ESPC and UESC data, and track the status of each DLA Installation Energy and Water Plan (IEWP).
Prepare energy scorecards, assemble the agency's energy-related Select and Native Programming budget exhibits, and compile the Annual Energy Management Report.
Offer technical guidance to Major Subordinate Commands on energy, water, resilience, and climate topics.
Review project plans, design criteria, schedules, design budgets, and project requirements at initiation.
Ensure projects comply with applicable DLA, DoD, and executive goals, standards, and mandates.
Track construction and repair project progress and ensure adherence to ASHRAE, Deep Energy Retrofit, and LEED goals.
Review SRM projects, provide engineering advice, and offer technical assistance.
