Engineer II
Job Description
Quadvest LP is seeking an Engineer II to join its Magnolia, Texas onsite team. This role centers on planning, designing and overseeing construction and ongoing maintenance of Quadvest water and sewer facilities, working closely with senior engineers, operations staff and external contractors. The position carries responsibility for coordinating project delivery, ensuring regulatory compliance and supporting growth through thoughtful system planning.
Responsibilities
- Assist senior engineer with planning and defining scope of engineering projects.
- Prepare design calculations, drawings, and specifications for Quadvest water and wastewater systems with limited supervision.
- Recommend methods for the conveyance of water and sewer, including distribution lines, force mains, pump stations, gravity sewers, and lift stations.
- Coordinate implementation of assigned construction projects; monitor progress, analyze problems, recognize solutions, and review recommendations by Quadvest Operations and contractors.
- Review development plans and specifications applications for compliance with Quadvest standards and TCEQ regulations.
- Perform and manage technical work on water and wastewater system modeling and planning studies: CAPEX planning, evaluating water quality, planning collection systems, analyzing historical demands/flows and preparing future projections, pumping and storage capacity analyses, and financial analyses and projections.
- Support marketing and business development activities related to water and wastewater system planning for new developments.
- Estimate quantities and cost of material, equipment, or labor to determine project feasibility for new developments.
- Ensure compliance with applicable regulatory requirements.
- Work effectively with minimal supervision.
- Create and edit technical and design reports for submittals to appropriate jurisdictions.
- Coordinate with governmental entities regarding project submittals.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Environmental or another related discipline.
- EIT or PE License or ability to obtain within 1 year.
- At least 2-4 years of utility design experience.
- Knowledge of TCEQ rules and regulations associated with water and sewer utility facilities.
- Experience in the development and administration of project, operating and capital budgets.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication (written and oral), teamwork, leadership, and organizational skills.
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations; ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals; ability to present information and respond to questions from managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions; ability to interpret a variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with abstract and concrete variables.
- Proficient computer skills, including Outlook, MS Word, MS Excel and AutoCAD.

Working Environment
- Well-lighted, heated and/or air-conditioned indoor office setting with adequate ventilation.
- Moderate noise (examples: business office with computers and printers, light traffic).
- Regular work schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
- No overnight travel by land and/or air.
