Job Description
Fire Protection Engineer position in Ogden, UT, onsite with Nexeo Staffing, offering direct-hire opportunities to design, implement, and maintain NFPA-compliant fire protection systems with audits and cross-functional collaboration; relocation assistance available.
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain fire protection systems and related program requirements
- Support facility audits, inspections, and ITM activities (inspection, testing, and maintenance)
- Ensure compliance with NFPA codes, safety standards, and project requirements
- Manage Hot Work Permit programs and conduct safety inspections
- Identify system deficiencies and implement corrective actions
- Collaborate with project teams during planning and execution phases
- Prepare and maintain technical documentation, reports, and system records
- Liaise with internal teams, management, and regulatory agencies
- Senior level: lead fire protection plans, audits, and inspections
- Senior level: mentor junior staff and provide technical guidance
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Fire Protection degree or certification preferred
- Knowledge of fire protection systems, NFPA codes, and safety practices
- 2+ years of fire protection experience (junior level)
- 6+ years of fire protection experience (senior level)
- Experience with inspection, testing, and maintenance (ITM) for fire systems
- Strong communication, documentation, and organizational skills

Pay
$90,000 β $150,000 per year
Schedule
- Full-time, on-site in Ogden, UT
- 9x80 schedule with every other Friday off
