Software Development Engineer - Cybersecurity, SBS Core Engineering

Amazon.com Services LLC is seeking a Software Development Engineer to join the Specialized Business Services Security (SBS) Core Engineering Automation team. The role centers on building and maintaining automated risk and vulnerability management solutions that drive remediation and reduce risk, onsite in New York, NY. The compensation range is USD 158,100 to 213,800 per year.

Working alongside software and security engineers, you will design scalable architectures for low-latency, big data processing and strive to improve the performance and efficiency of existing systems. The position also emphasizes advancing testing, repeatability, automation, and operational excellence, while identifying and advocating for new technologies.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of non-internship professional software development experience
• A minimum of 3 years in design or architecture work for new and existing systems, focusing on patterns, reliability, and scalability
• 3+ years designing and developing large-scale, multi-tiered, multi-threaded, embedded or distributed software applications, tools, systems, and services using C#, C++, Java, or Perl
• Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field
