Job Description

Based in Anaheim, California, the Specialist, Tech Support Engineer role oversees a repair and testing lab, driving compliance with technical standards, safety protocols, and turnaround targets while providing leadership to a technical team.

Summary

Lead a repair lab team responsible for repairing, calibrating, and testing equipment, ensuring adherence to applicable standards, safety procedures, and expected turnaround times, alongside providing technical leadership within the lab environment.

Responsibilities

  • Provide supervision, coaching, and mentorship to technicians; oversee scheduling, performance, and staffing requirements.
  • Direct daily lab operations, including receipt, testing, diagnosis, repair, and dispatch of products.
  • Ensure all repairs and tests comply with company standards, ISO 9001, and safety procedures.
  • Serve as the technical expert for complex troubleshooting, failure analysis, and data interpretation.
  • Manage calibration and upkeep of specialized test equipment.
  • Monitor and report performance metrics to enhance efficiency and reduce errors.

Requirements

  • 3 to 7 plus years in a technical lab or depot environment, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
  • Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience.
  • Graduate degree with at least 2 years of related experience.
  • In lieu of a degree, a minimum of 8 years of related experience.
  • Knowledge of semiconductor testing, electronic troubleshooting, and Automated Test Equipment (ATE).

Schedule

9/80 schedule: employees work 9 out of every 14 days, totaling 80 hours, with every other Friday off.

Salary

USD 63,000 - 135,000 per year.
