Job Description

Data Engineer role in Portsmouth, NH onsite, focused on designing, developing, and maintaining data systems to support business operations, with Snowflake and modern cloud data architecture as core areas of expertise.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain robust ETL and ELT pipelines using Snowflake as the enterprise data warehouse.
Optimize Snowflake performance through clustering, warehouse sizing, query tuning, and cost management.
Develop and maintain integrations from source systems using SQL, Python, and orchestration frameworks.
Collaborate with cross functional teams including business analysts, product managers, and software engineers to ensure smooth data integration into current systems.
Monitor data pipelines, proactively identify issues, and ensure high availability and reliability.
Support Agile project delivery in partnership with PMO, Product Owners, and technical teams.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field, or equivalent professional experience.
4–7 years of data engineering experience with significant hands-on Snowflake usage in production environments.
Snowflake or cloud platform certifications preferred.
Advanced expertise in Snowflake architecture, SQL development, and performance optimization.
Strong experience with data modeling techniques (dimensional, relational, and analytical models).
Proficiency in Python or similar languages for data engineering and automation.
Experience with orchestration tools (e.g., Airflow or similar).
Understanding of cloud platforms and modern data stack concepts.
Strong knowledge of data governance, data quality, and security best practices.
Experience working in Agile development environments.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly.

Job Description

Part-Time Submarine Systems Engineer at CACI, onsite in Portsmouth, NH, supporting electrical, mechanical, civil and ocean engineering for Submarine Rescue and Mobility platforms, with a required DoD Secret clearance and an annual salary range of USD 90,300 - 189,600.

Responsibilities

Develop, create, and review Job Summaries and Task Group Instructions (TGIs).
Assist with Deficiency Form issues and prepare Sales Cost estimates.
Support 688 Class and 774 Class Submarine engineering and Deep Submergence projects.

Requirements

Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Civil, or Ocean Engineering from an ABET-accredited program (other disciplines may be considered).
10 years of experience with submarine and/or deep submergence systems.
Knowledge of US Navy shipyard applications including AIM.
Professional engineering experience performing complex calculations such as heat transfer, fluid flow, piping stress, and mechanical stress.
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and proficiency with MS Office products.
Proven ability to manage work in a time-sensitive operational environment.
Strong interpersonal skills and attention to detail.
Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance.
