Job Description

Pursue a Staff Civil Engineer role in West Chester, PA onsite with Pennoni, focusing on land development, stormwater design, and client-facing project management with mentoring responsibilities.

Responsibilities

Oversee the development of Land Development Plans, including engineering design drawings, technical specifications, and engineering reports from schematic design through construction.
Coordinate permits through regulatory agencies for large scale, complex projects.
Perform zoning interpretation and prepare feasibility studies, drawings, specifications, and reports.
Contribute to stormwater management design, including Hydrologic and Hydraulic modeling and Erosion and Sediment Control planning.
Apply advanced understanding of local, state, and federal ordinances and permitting processes to ensure compliance.
Engage with regulatory agencies to advance project approvals.

Manage all aspects of project efforts and interface with clients.
Nurture existing client relationships and develop new clients.
Mentor junior-level staff and provide guidance on technical work.
Provide quality control of staff design and reports.
Prepare proposals and track project budgets for profitability.
Additional duties may be assigned as needed.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in an engineering oriented discipline, preferably Civil Engineering.
4+ years of professional engineering experience, preferably with land development projects.

Preferred Qualifications

FE or EIT certification.
Experience working on land development and infrastructure improvement projects.
Proficiency with engineering tools, including CADD and project management software; exposure to AutoCAD Civil 3D and Bluebeam is a plus.
Experience with stormwater management design calculations, especially using hydrologic and hydraulic modeling tools.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 applications (Word, Excel, Outlook) and Adobe Acrobat.
Ability to see the big picture and coordinate multiple design disciplines toward project goals.
Consistent punctuality and attendance.
Strong team collaboration while able to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
Proven problem-solving skills across diverse projects with practical solutions.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
