Job Description
Lead design, development, and deployment of control systems and software for aviation ground support equipment, onsite in Mason, Ohio.
Responsibilities
- Lead design and development of electronic, control, and software systems for ground support equipment through the full lifecycle (concept, implementation, and support) in alignment with ISO 9001 processes
- Develop PLC and HMI based control systems for automated equipment functionality
- Translate customer requirements into technical specifications, system architecture, and executable designs aligned with project timelines
- Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, quality, product management, and supply chain teams to deliver integrated solutions
- Troubleshoot and resolve electrical, control, and software issues; perform root cause analysis and document corrective actions
- Support new product development and product enhancements, including automation improvements
- Participate in technical design reviews to ensure safety, compliance, performance, and quality standards
- Provide technical guidance to internal teams, suppliers, and customers
- Drive continuous improvement in controls and software design processes and configuration management practices
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Automation, Software Engineering, or related field
- 5+ years of experience in electrical engineering, controls, or industrial automation
- Experience designing PLC and HMI based control systems (Allen-Bradley, Siemens, or similar)
- Proficiency in Ladder Logic and/or C, C++, or similar programming languages
- Experience with electrical design tools (e.g., SolidWorks Electrical or equivalent)
- Strong ability to troubleshoot integrated electronic and software systems
- Experience working in cross functional engineering environments
- Strong communication skills, including customer facing interaction
- U.S. Citizenship required
- Ability to work on-site in Mason, Ohio
