Job Description
John L. Lowery & Associates, Inc. offers an onsite Fired Equipment / Heat Engineer role in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. The position provides an hourly rate of USD 80 to 85 and benefits that include a 401(k) plan and dental insurance. A Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering is required. The role centers on designing, developing, implementing, and analyzing technical products and systems related to fired equipment and heat engineering, with emphasis on engineering design evaluations and quality improvements. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected, and you may own projects from initial concept through execution.

Responsibilities
- Design, develop, implement, and analyze technical products and systems in the fired equipment and heat engineering space.
- Conduct equipment engineering design evaluations to support quality and performance goals.
- Potentially develop a range of products aligned with project needs.
- Recommend alterations to development and design processes to enhance product quality and procedures.
- Plan and accomplish goals using established experience and sound judgment.
- Handle a variety of complex tasks requiring thoughtful problem solving.
- Operate with a broad degree of creativity and latitude.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering and/or relevant experience in a closely related role
- Strong knowledge of fired equipment standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the field
- Ability to anticipate and solve problems by integrating knowledge from multiple areas
- Works with limited supervision, but may report to a supervisor or manager
- Owns projects and takes responsibility for their outcomes
- Represents the local workgroup internally and, on occasion, externally
