Responsibilities

Provide technical direction, assistance, and solutions to hourly electrical maintenance and operating personnel.
Collaborate with mechanical, reliability maintenance, and engineering teams to support daily and monthly maintenance outages and annual outage jobs within process control engineering.
Engage in crossover activities with electrical and mechanical maintenance programs to deliver complete programs for all equipment types.
Coordinate with maintenance, engineering, and operations personnel to complete maintenance and capital projects.
Offer management and programming support, including programming, training, stocking spare parts, preventive maintenance checklists, and creation or updates of drawings for maintenance and engineering staff as needed.
Support the mill's safety, environmental, and other performance goals.
Focus on process control supervision of the hourly union workforce, programming of all mill control systems for daily activities, capital projects, and reliability of control system equipment.
Manage control system equipment tracking programs and preventive maintenance programs.
Utilize predictive and preventative maintenance to identify and correct equipment issues.
Input and update equipment information and documentation; develop equipment manuals for precision inspection and maintenance of the control systems in the mill.
Manage work for monthly and annual outages and assist with MS Project timelines for outages.
Plan and execute capital projects for maintenance replacements of control systems equipment; manage jobs for best results at the lowest cost.
Identify opportunities to solve issues, reduce costs, and improve planning performance; resolve problems using the mill RCFA program and effectively manage contractors.
Perform other responsibilities as needed.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Chemical Engineering or equivalent education and experience required.
A minimum of 2-5 years of experience in Electrical or Chemical Engineering.
